A Garden to Share

North Muskegon, Michigan

This 120-year old home and yard had been well lived in but not well cared-for. The yard was dull and uninviting.

This homeowner is in the process of establishing native grasses and flowers in addition to an herb garden and separate vegetable garden. The vision is to create a place where the neighbors are always welcome. With access points from both the street and the alley, visitors are invited to browse, smell, taste the edible plants and sit peacefully among the garden with several strategically placed seating areas.
